# 30-Day Study Plan for the Citizenship Test

A daily plan to cover Swedish democracy, laws, history, society, work life, and values in 30 days. Designed for the medborgarskapsprovet administered by UHR from 15 August 2026.

This plan covers the 20 topic areas of the medborgarskapsprovet over 30 days. Spend ~30 minutes per day, 5–6 days a week. By day 30 you'll have covered every topic and taken at least two full mock exams.

## Week 1 — Government & Politics (Days 1–7)

- **Day 1:** Riksdag — what it does, 349 seats, 4-year terms.
- **Day 2:** The government (regeringen) and the Prime Minister.
- **Day 3:** The four constitutional laws (grundlagar).
- **Day 4:** Political parties & elections.
- **Day 5:** Local government — kommuner and regioner.
- **Day 6:** Sweden in the EU and UN.
- **Day 7:** Take a 10-question quiz on this topic.

## Week 2 — Law, Rights & Society (Days 8–14)

- **Day 8:** Equality and discrimination law.
- **Day 9:** Freedom of speech and press freedom (Tryckfrihetsförordningen).
- **Day 10:** Religious freedom and secular state.
- **Day 11:** Police, courts, and the legal system.
- **Day 12:** National minorities and minority languages.
- **Day 13:** Allemansrätten — right of public access.
- **Day 14:** Quiz day.

## Week 3 — Welfare, Work & Healthcare (Days 15–21)

- **Day 15:** Försäkringskassan and social insurance.
- **Day 16:** Healthcare system and patient fees.
- **Day 17:** Education — preschool, school, university.
- **Day 18:** Work — LAS, kollektivavtal, unions.
- **Day 19:** Parental leave and family policy.
- **Day 20:** Pensions and elder care.
- **Day 21:** Quiz day.

## Week 4 — History, Geography & Values (Days 22–30)

- **Day 22:** Vikings and medieval Sweden.
- **Day 23:** Reformation, Great Power era, 1809 constitution.
- **Day 24:** Industrialisation and emigration to America.
- **Day 25:** 20th century — neutrality, welfare state, EU.
- **Day 26:** Swedish geography — regions, climate, nature.
- **Day 27:** Swedish values — equality, lagom, jämställdhet, fika, midsommar.
- **Day 28:** Full mock exam #1.
- **Day 29:** Review your weak areas.
- **Day 30:** Full mock exam #2 — aim for 80%+.
